You’re invited to a 30-minute guided body scan meditation, with the option to join in virtual reality or from a standard laptop.

A body scan is a structured practice of attending to physical sensations throughout the body. The session is guided verbally and is suitable for both immersive (VR) and non-immersive (audio-only) participation.

I facilitate the session from a standard desktop setup. Participants may join using a VR headset if they wish, or join from a laptop or desktop computer, in which case the experience functions like a traditional guided meditation delivered via audio.

The practice is experiential and practical, with no visualization, belief, or prior meditation experience required. Participants are welcome to arrive early, join quietly after the session begins, adjust posture at any time, or step out and return as needed.

This session draws on established contemplative practices of embodied attention, adapted for an accessible, contemporary format.

Boundaries & Nourishment: A VR Based Reflective Workshop

This guided VR workshop invites participants to explore how attention and boundaries show up around food—without eating, dieting, or nutritional instruction.

Using a shared virtual environment, participants interact with symbolic food objects and engage in simple, structured reflection. The focus is on noticing what draws our attention and how we make sense of those choices, individually and in conversation with others.

The experience is calm, optional, and non-directive. You may participate as much or as little as you like, take breaks as needed, and step away at any time.

A VR headset is recommended for the most immersive experience, though participants are welcome to join from a desktop or laptop. No prior experience is required.

Session Focus: A Practice for When There’s Too Much Input

The holidays are a time when everything ramps up: noise, schedules, social expectations, family dynamics, and the subtle pressure to hold yourself together through all of it. This month’s session is designed for exactly that. This is the second installation in the series. Each gathering focuses on a different way the body responds to food-related input—taste, smell, social tone, pacing—and how these signals affect our ability to stay grounded during eating.

The space is quiet and uncomplicated. We move slowly. We work with sensation rather than stories. Nothing here requires performance, emotional disclosure, or being “good” at meditation.

This month, we’ll explore what the body does at the first signs of overload — whether it’s from sound, social dynamics, emotional tone, or the energetic shifts that happen in group settings. The goal isn’t to brace or push through; it’s to notice, orient, and give the body something steady to land on.

What We’ll Practice

1. A short regulation sequence

A simple, repeatable process you can use when holiday intensity, family energy, or social environments start to feel like too much.

2. Optional sensory check-in

Bring something neutral:
a sip of tea, a mint, fruit, a warm mug, a stone, fabric, or nothing at all.
It’s a brief, grounded moment of noticing a single sensory input — no meaning attached.

3. Boundaries through sensation

We’ll explore the body’s early cues for “too much,” and how to respond without tightening, collapsing, or overriding yourself.
Here, boundaries aren’t rules. They’re signals you learn to recognize and trust — especially in seasons of excess.

Who This Is For

  • get overwhelmed by too much input

  • notice shifts in tone, energy, or group dynamics

  • want clearer internal cues and boundaries

  • want tools that actually work in daily life

  • feel the strain of holiday “togetherness” or social expectation

Full But Still Eating: Boundaries, Craving, and the Body

What are we saying yes to when we eat past fullness? And what are we afraid to say no to?

This 60-minute workshop explores the connection between food, boundaries, and the nervous system. It’s not about discipline or diet—it’s about deep listening. Together, we’ll explore how early conditioning, emotional habit, and internalized messages around nourishment shape our behavior at the table and beyond.

Through guided embodiment practice, reflection, and honest conversation, we’ll examine:

  • What boundary collapse looks like with food

  • Why “just stop eating” often doesn’t work

  • The difference between restriction and respect

  • How to hear what the body actually needs, and respond with care

Facilitated by a certified embodiment coach, media psychologist, and long-time lay Buddhist practitioner. No preaching, no fixing, just grounded inquiry and space to listen.
